Valeria "Jackie" (Maraney) Steinmetz

Age 88, of Greentree on Friday July 15, 2022.  Beloved wife of the late Alois Steinmetz; loving mother of Becky (William) Molczan; grandmother of Katie Molczan.  Jackie graduated from the  St. Joseph School of Nursing, which was then located in the Southside section of Pittsburgh.  Following graduation, she served in the US Air Force and was very proud to have obtained the rank of Captain.  After two years, she left the military to pursue her nursing career, serving as a healthcare nurse for the South Hills Health System for many years.  Following in the footsteps of her late husband who was a professional baker, she enjoyed baking at home and spending time with her family.  Family and friends will be received on Monday, July 18th from 6-8pm at the Henney, Bradwell & Nirella Funeral Home, 524 Washington Ave., Carnegie.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Tuesday, July 19th in St. Margaret of Scotland Church (Greentree), of St. Raphael the Archangel Parish, with interment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions if desired may be made to:  South Hills Pet Rescue, PO Box 224, Monaca, PA  15061
