Russell J. Nirella

Age 73 of Cecil Twp., formerly of Scott Twp. on Sunday, July 10, 2022.  Beloved husband, for over 50 years, to Susan Musiol Nirella; loving father of Joane (Josh) Griffith, Joshua (Laura) Nirella, Jim (Stefane) Nirella and Judy (Keary) Hiers.  Beloved son of the late Joseph and Ruth Nirella; also survived by 13 grandchildren:  Isaac, Isabella, Elan, Lydia, Noah, Sienna, Rocco, Daniel, Alexa, Meadow, Kalina, Nathan, Ryan and four granddogs, Muffin, Reece, Ruby and Charlie.  Russ loved The Lord, his family and friends with his entire heart.  This is an utterly devastating loss for us; our hearts are shattered.  He was the backbone of our family with his quick wit & loud laugh, strong hugs and never ending words of encouragement.  Knowing he's now with Jesus, happy & whole, no longer suffering is a great comfort.  Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Henney, Bradwell & Nirella Funeral Home, 524 Washington Ave., Carnegie. All are welcome to join the family for a Celebration of Life Service to be held on Friday, 11:00am at Duquesne Heights Christian Church, 120 Shaler St., Pittsburgh (Mt. Washington) PA 15211-1042.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.
