MARY JOAN “JOANIE”
Age 84, of Carnegie, on Friday, March 25, 2016. Loving mother of Rick, Marc, Chris, Bobbi Jo and the late Donald Cantley, Jr.; sister of the late Jack Dorman; grandmother of Rick Cantley, Jr., Jaclyn Cantley Hertzler, Jeremy, Donald E., Justin, Jordan, Kaitlin, Brandan and the late Jenny Cantley; great-grandmother of Journie, Elizabeth, Hope and Jackson. Joanie was a deeply loving, caring and God-fearing woman. She had several likes that may surprise some, and only a few knew most of them. She loved Sheldon and the Big Bang Theory, as she watched it religiously. She was very excited to hear that Guns N’ Roses were getting back together. She had a special place in her heart for Ozzy, and we would catch her watching That Metal Show, even though she denied it. She loved to eat out and jumped at any chance for sushi. She now gets the chance to be with her firstborn son, Donnie, who she has pined for, for 51 years now. She will be forever missed. Visitation 12-8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at HENNEY, BRADWELL & NIRELLA FUNERAL HOME, 524 Washington Ave., Carnegie. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 330 Third Ave., Carnegie. Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the family.
