Martha S. (Stechna) Hoffman

Martha Stechna Hoffman, age 97 of Chambersburg, PA, formerly of Carnegie on Thursday, November 9, 2023.  A gracious and loving Christian, Martha was the daughter of the late John and Mary Stechna; wife of the late George W. Hoffman; beloved mother of Eileen Hoffman-Meier (Michael) and Ellen Hoffman Picciano.  Loving grandmother of Steven Picciano (Lena), Jennifer Jackson (Sean) and Jessie Picciano; great-grandmother of Elaina Picciano, Malia, Sean and Layla Jackson, Lincoln and Lucas Picciano.  Special grandmother to Stefanie Meier Bell (Dan) and Christopher Meier (Missy Deus); "Aunt Martha" to many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband and her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her three sisters; Ann Hibay, Helen Hoyson and Dorothy Campbell.  Devoted to God and family, she loved her family, neighbors, music, animals and gardening.  Visitation Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8pm at Henney, Bradwell & Nirella Funeral Home, 524 Washington Ave., Carnegie.  Funeral Service will be held Wednesday 10:00am in St. John Lutheran Church, 601 Washington Ave., Carnegie.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to:  St. John's World Hunger Fund, St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 601 Washington Ave., Carnegie, PA  15106
