Madalyn Winnett Baker. Age 99, died Thursday, December 19, 2019. She was born in Long Branch, Pennsylvania on December 1st, 1920. Formerly of Carnegie, Pennsylvania, Madalyn lived with her daughter, Melissa in Atlanta, Georgia. She was a beloved mother and grandmother, ceramics instructor, and Salvation Army volunteer. Madalyn was an active member and dedicated volunteer at Carnegie United Methodist Church. She was a devoted wife of 67 years, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Baker is preceded in death by her husband, George W. Baker, brother Samuel Clifford Winnett, father Clarke Earle Winnett, and mother Blanche Ira Dixon Winnett.
She is survived by her three children, Earle (Cindy) Baker of Lincoln, California, Carl (Janet) Baker of Oakdale, Pennsylvania, and Melissa (Dale) Pavcik of Atlanta, Georgia. Madalyn has six grandchildren, Bryan Baker, Stephanie Wolfson, Darrell Baker, Jennifer McDowell, Clarissa Pavcik, and Micah Pavcik. She also has four great-grandchildren, Zoey Baker, Brody Baker, Elizabeth Wolfson, and MacKenzie McDowell.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:30pm on Friday, December 27, 2019 at Carnegie United Methodist Church, 415 Washington Ave., Carnegie, PA 15106. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the church. Arrangements by Henney, Bradwell & Nirella Funeral Home, 524 Washington Ave., Carnegie.
