Age 74 of Carnegie, he passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by family on Thursday, August 21, 2025. Beloved husband for 54 years of Laura Herrmann; loving father of Sheila Herrmann (Joe McCabe) and Larry Herrmann (Jennie). Survived by his sister-in-law Margaret Warner (Denny) and his niece Ruth DeBar; beloved brother of Rusty Mercurio, Rita Spatafore, Fred Herrmann (Babs) and Kim Herrmann. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Larry was a proud member and First Vice Officer of the Carnegie American Legion Post #82. Visitation Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Henney, Bradwell & Nirella Funeral Home, 524 Washington Avenue, Carnegie, where the American Legion Post #82 will hold a service at 7:00pm, followed by a funeral service, and an opportunity for family and friends to share their thoughts and memories of Larry beginning Sunday evening at 8:00pm. Interment with full military honors, will be conducted on Monday, September 1st, 9:30am at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville. Those planning to attend the interment service are asked to please arrive at the cemetery early, preferably around 9:15am.
