Age 89, of Scott Twp., formerly of Carnegie, on Monday, July 31, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Grace E. (Schulte) Garner; loving father of James R. Garner, Jr., and the late Suzanne E. Charles; father-in-law of James J. Charles; brother of Clarence Garner and the late Charlotte Hutson, Harry, and John Garner; also survived by two grandchildren James W. and Amanda G. Charles; dearest uncle of Linda Berky and Nancy Garner, among other nieces and nephews. Mr. Garner served proudly in the US Marine Corps during WWII. He was then employed by Universal Cyclops, Bridgeville, PA for 45 years. Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at HENNEY, BRADWELL & NIRELLA FUNERAL HOME, 524 Washington Ave., Carnegie where a Funeral Service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions if desired may be made to the American Cancer Society.
