Age 69 of Carnegie, on January 1, 2024. Beloved son of the late Harry W. and Patricia J. Smith. Father of Steffany Caller and Kenneth Smith; brother of Edward Smith (Sharon), Robert Smith (Deb), Michael Smith (Florence), Daniel Smith (Debra), Kelly Rohbeck (R.J.), Lori Dedola (Dave), and Richard Smith (Renee). Also survived by two grandchildren Riley and Zoey Caller; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Bill proudly served in the US Army for over 17 years, obtaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. In 1990-1991 he fought in Operation Desert Storm and received the Bronze Star Medal and the Army Commendation Medal for meritorious service in combat as a tank commander. Friends and family will be received on Tuesday January 9th, from 11am to 12:30pm at the Henney, Bradwell & Nirella Funeral Home, 524 Washington Ave., Carnegie, where a Blessing Service will be held at 12:30. Interment with full military honors will follow at 1:30pm at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Rd., Bridgeville, PA.
