Elizabeth N. "Liz" (Nutbrown) Chioda

Elizabeth "Liz" Chioda    Currently she had been residing in York, PA, formerly of Scott Twp., she died peacefully in her sleep at the age of 92.  Beloved wife of the late Anthony "Sam" Chioda; loving mother of Anthony, Jr. (Patti), Maurice (Beth), James (Diane) and the late Charmayne Lersch (surviving Ronald) and Toni Evans.  Daughter of the late Henry and Rachel Nutbrown, Liz was the youngest of 14 children (all deceased).  Also survived by 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  Liz was a lifelong member of The Church of the Atonement in Carnegie; she was retired from Bell Telephone in Pittsburgh where she had worked for many years as a switchboard operator.  She enjoyed genealogy, stamp and coin collecting, and feeding birds in her backyard.  Visitation Saturday 10am to 12pm at Henney, Bradwell & Nirella Funeral Home, 524 Washington Ave., Carnegie.  A private funeral service for the immediate family only will follow.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to The Church of the Atonement, 618 Washington Ave., Carnegie, PA  15106.
