Age 77, of Carnegie, suddenly on Tuesday October 22, 2024. Beloved husband for 48 years of Patricia Hamilton Wojcik. Also survived by cousins, Linda Pyle (Harold), their children Michael and Lauren Pyle, and Laurens daughter Scarlett Marie Pyle; James Wojcik (Linda), their daughter Adrianne (Brennan); and John Tybuszewski (Linda). He was preceded in death by his parents, William J. and Ida Lee Wojcik and his aunt, Lillian Nolte Wojcik. Dave was a graduate of Triadelphia High School in Wheeling . He received a music scholarship to WVU where he performed in the Marching Band, which at that time consisted of just 100 young men. A year or two later the band grew larger and allowed women to join. Dave's primary instrument was the trumpet so he also played in the Jazz Band and Orchestra. Although he enjoyed many different styles of music and was an excellent musician, upon graduating he did not pursue a career in music. Dave was also a member of the Robinson Golf League for many years, and like many golfers, sometimes preferred the 19th hole to the first 18. Dave was also a motorcycle enthusiast—especially Harleys. He owned four different models of them over his adult years. Dave was a longtime member of Pittsburgh HOG Chapter #2224 and enjoyed many rides with his HOG buddies including Laconia, NH where he rode to the top of Mt. Washington, Nashville, TN, Deals Gap where he rode the Tale of the Dragon more than once, and Fayetteville, WV where he rode the rapids—not on his bike. Visitation Friday 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Henney, Bradwell & Nirella Funeral Home, 524 Washington Ave., Carnegie, where Blessing Service will be held Saturday at 10:00am. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, 1526 National Road, Wheeling WV 26003
