Age 69 of Scott Twp., formerly of the West End, on Saturday, October 18, 2025; beloved wife of the late Paul A. Kovach, she is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas E. "Tom" Meehan, Sr. and Shirley C. Meehan, and her brother, Thomas E. "Tom" Meehan, Jr.
Cindy is survived by her brother James S. Meehan, Sr. (Gloria); nephew James S. "Jim" Meehan, Jr (Morgan); and niece Amanda M. Tulenko (Shawn).
Cindy began her career as a registered nurse in 1976, advancing to the role of nursing administrator. During her career, she worked at several different institutions including Kane Regional Center and Sherwood Oaks Retirement Community.
In 2001, Cindy married the love of her life, Paul. Together, they enjoyed traveling together to see covered bridges and lighthouses and also spending time at their camp in Butler. Cindy enjoyed telling stories of her parents and siblings, and carrying on her mother's culinary legacy through her recipes--especially during the holidays. She often had to play the counterpoint to Paul's jokes and antics (which she secretly admired).
She maintained two lifelong friendships with her friends Irene (Tom) Price and Joan (Ed) Goyke. Meeting Irene while working as a nurse at Kane and Joan at Canevin Catholic High School (now Bishop Canevin). Together, the group went on many cruises and shared countless memories. Cindy also took pride in being the godmother of Joan's daughter, Janine.
Cindy will be remembered for her unwavering faith in God, her commitment to her nursing career, her warm hospitality, her love for the Steelers and, above all, her deep love and dedication to her husband, Paul.
