CAROLYN LEE (NARDINI)
Cherished sister, daughter, aunt, wife and friend, age 72, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015 in Cape Coral, FL after a brief battle with cancer. Born December 16, 1942 to Lois and John Nardini, Carolyn grew up in Carnegie, PA and subsequently lived in Oakdale, PA with her beloved husband, William R. Mullaney. Widowed in 1995, Carolyn eventually moved to Pine Island, FL, where she relished the year-round warm weather and the novelty of visits from the local egret (whom she named Charlie) and the alligator who frequented the canal behind her house. She retired in April from her position as a receptionist for Lee Memorial Health System, where her strong work ethic, dedication and kindness earned her the love and respect of so many co-workers. Prior to working at Lee, she was a supervisor in the data processing department at Ryan Homes (later NVR) in Pittsburgh for approximately 25 years. A tireless worker, Carolyn most enjoyed taking care of her family members and friends, and also took great pride in keeping her home in pristine condition inside and out. When not at work, she was most likely to be found on a ladder tending to the gutters, in the yard maintaining her beautiful landscaping, or cooking one of her many fantastic signature dishes. Loving sister and best friend of JoAnna Kun; cherished aunt of Heather (Thomas) Earley, Kimberly (Jonathan) Keevil, Jamie Nardini, John (Danielle) Nardini and the late C.J. Knepper; beloved great-aunt of Noelle (Ben) Vann, Dwain Fisher, Addison Lee, Nicholas Kramer and Autumn Nardini; sister-in-law to Beth Nardini and the late Andrew Kun; many loving and special cousins and friends. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brothers, John “Buddy” and Dwain Nardini. She will be remembered for her boundless energy, positive spirit, and her gorgeous blue eyes. Friends will be received 2 - 4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2015, at HENNEY, BRADWELL & NIRELLA FUNERAL HOME, 524 Washington Ave., Carnegie, PA, where a Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 8, 2015.
