Age 91, passed away on September 25, 2025. Born in Brookline, on December 2, 1933, Carl was the son of the late Joseph and Alvera Hug. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, of 59 years, Mary Lou (Ryan) Hug. Carl is survived by his loving daughters, Maureen (Paul) Schmidt, Cynthia (J. "Fritz" Schardt) Roche and Tracy (Doug) Laderer. He is also survived by eight cherished grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Carl worked at Gateway Studios, managing the largest art production department in Pittsburgh for 30 years. He loved his family deeply and enjoyed woodworking, stained glass, gardening, and traveling. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at St. Michael the Archangel Parish (St. Bernard Church). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
