Jeffrey W. Dumm

Jeffrey William Dumm, 72, passed away peacefully on the morning of May 8, 2026. Jeffrey grew up in Moon Township , raised his children in Carnegie , and spent his later years in West View PA .

He was the beloved father of Robert Means (Duquesne) and Robyn Kerr (Carnegie), proud grandfather of Kylie Stein, and brother to Earl Dumm III, Terrence Michael, Mary Ann Steinbock, and William Christopher. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl H. Dumm Jr. and Barbara Jane Dumm (Gable). He was also loved by many cousins, nieces and nephews. 

Jeffrey worked as a computer consultant and was known for his sharp mind, love of technology, and appreciation for all things science fiction. Whether he was lost in a good book, watching sci-fi adventures, or debating futuristic ideas and politics with anyone willing to join in, Jeffrey fully embraced his inner nerd. He also had a deep love for reading, spirited political discussions, and was a true chocolate connoisseur (it's genetic).

Above all else, Jeffrey loved the Lord. His faith remained an important part of who he was throughout his life and brought him comfort. He was always willing to pray for anyone in need and was never ashamed to speak the name of Jesus. 

In true Jeffrey fashion, he always said, “When I die, I don’t want a funeral, I want a graduation party.” The family plans to honor his wishes, and details regarding a celebration of life will be shared at a later date.

He will be remembered for his intelligence, humor, faith, strong opinions, unique personality, and the memories he shared with those who knew and loved him.
