Elizabeth J. "Betty" (Hayes) McCarthy

Angels of God came to take her on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.  Age 100, of Collier Twp., formerly of Carnegie.  Beloved wife of the late John "Jack" McCarthy; loving mother of John "Sparky" McCarthy, Jr. (Donna), Maureen Terhorst and Judy Melson (the late Bill); granddaughter Megan Simons (Shaun) and great-grandson Cormac "Mac" Simons.  Also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, long time friends and kind neighbors.  She was preceded in death by her parents Leo and May Hayes; brothers: John "Frosty" Hayes, Jr. (Mary), and Joseph Hayes (Paula); and sisters:  Sister Mary Grace, Sisters of Charity and "Baby" Jeanie Hayes; and her loving in-laws.  Mass of Christian Burial Thursday 10am, St Raphael the Archangel Parish, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 330 Third Ave., Carnegie.  EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH.  Arrangements by the Henney, Bradwell & Nirella Funeral Home, 524 Washington Ave., Carnegie.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
